Welcome to Hazard Sign
The old Welcome to Hazard sign had been looking a little shabby – so Pam Farrell, citizen extraordinaire, suggested we plant a garden! With a bright, mint green paint to match the shade of the summer kudzu and grass, the old brown sign was livened up to catch the eye. And to attract the bees, we planted a group of lovely perennials in front of the welcome sign. They bloom every year, so keep your eyes peeled in the spring!
Now new visitors to Hazard will be greeted by a bright new welcome sign when they get to town! And the garden will attract bees – you can learn more about how to plant pollinator gardens here and why growing them is important here. And check out our other local pollinator garden!
